Home At Last!

We arrived home, safe and sound, and tired, around 5 PM CDT Friday 4/4/08 as planned.  The trip was uneventful except for the sticker shock at the gas pumps here in good old Illinois!  This is the most expensive gas in the six states we traveled on our return.

Around 6:30 PM Friday night, Our daughter, Cricket, and her family arrived to welcome us home.  She also brought food for the weekend!  She's such a sweetie!  It was great to see them all again, Scooter, Cutie Pie, and Sweetie Pie, and Paco, too.

WonderMom and I slept like logs on our warm water bed, a pleasure we dearly miss over the winter!  The neighbor that takes care of our place over the winter does a great job.  He had the water turned on and all the faucets checked, the water heater turned on, and the water bed plugged in.  The house was ready for us to come home.  Even the clocks were set correctly!

First job Friday night was getting the computers set up and connected to the Internet (Thank You Comcast) and ready to record the season opener of "Battelstar Gallactica"!  Yeah, we're SciFi nuts.

So we're all settled in, mostly.  The yard needs a lot of work and the raccoons got into my shed again - what a mess.

This will be the last blog here for until our next excursion to AZ.  I may start another to keep our distant kids and relatives posted on the major events of our 'exciting' lives.
