The sun came out today! Hooray! It didn't rain, it wasn't cold, it was travel-brochure weather! We go back to Phoenix tomorrow!
We enjoyed the day. WonderMom and Shimmy got their annual pedicure and manicure. They came home all beautiful and all!
Things 1 & 2 regaled us with their joyous return to school at dinner tonight. Thing 1 was all about passing his 'G' test which means he has mastered 3rd grade addition. Next they start on Multiplication. What memories that recalls - be still my heart!
Thing 2 just talked about his day in school, and talked, and talked! Shimmy shared their report cards with us, and they both are doing very well except in that boy-dreaded area of WRITING and PENMANSHIP! This boy still dreads it and is thankful he can use a computer to do all of his actual writing.
Saw my first French 'chickflick' tonight "A Long Engagement"! All in French with English subtitles. It was an interesting movie mostly because of the WWI scenes, but the only actor I'd ever seen before, was Jodie Foster who had a small part in it. WonderMom didn't even bother with it. She hit the sack early.
WonderMom did attend Thing 2's violin lesson with Shimmy and had words of praise for him. Thing 2 and Sweetie Pie are our budding violin virtuosos!
And we went to that good Chinese restaurant for lunch again.
Well, we're back to AZ Tuesday night - late. Don't know if I'll get a blog in since I won't have Internet access at my trailer.
